Cleaning Procedures for Stabilized Soil Mixing Plants
1. The stabilized soil mixing plant shall regularly carry out the maintenance and servicing tasks specified in the maintenance procedures, such as cleaning, lubrication, and oiling.
2. Before starting the stabilized soil mixing plant, first check that all controllers are functioning properly. After resuming operation, pour water and gravel into the mixing drum and run it for 10–15 minutes to flush the drum, then discharge the water and gravel. If operators need to enter the mixing drum for cleaning, they must not only disconnect the power supply and remove the fuse but also lock the control box.
3. Remove any concrete that has accumulated inside the hoppers of the stabilized soil mixing plant; do not use a sledgehammer to break it loose—instead, use a chisel to carefully remove it.
4. During extremely cold weather, after completing operations, flush the stabilizer mixing plant drum with water and drain all accumulated water from the water pump, water tank, and water pipes to prevent freezing damage to these components.
Safety Procedures for Stabilized Soil Mixing Plants
1. Before starting the stabilized soil mixing plant, inspect the electrical circuits and all instruments, as well as the wire ropes, tracks, pulleys, conveyor belts, and other components to ensure they are in good condition. Only after confirming that everything is in order may the mixer be started.
2. The stabilized soil mixing plant shall be positioned in accordance with the construction layout plan on a solid, level site, with adequate drainage facilities provided. The main unit and cement silos shall be securely supported on stands, and a protective canopy shall be erected over the control room; the roofing material must have sufficient strength to ensure safety. An insulated operating platform shall be installed at the operator’s station.
3. Operators must hold the appropriate certification before taking up their posts; when the equipment is powered on, they must maintain focused attention, remain at their stations, and may not leave their posts without authorization.
4. When the hopper is being raised, walking beneath it is strictly prohibited; if the hopper pit needs to be cleaned, first secure the safety chain before commencing work.
5. When repairing and cleaning concrete adherents inside the mixing drum, disconnect the power supply, affix a “Do Not Close” warning sign on the electrical switchgear, and assign a dedicated supervisor to prevent accidents.
6. After work is completed, the wastewater generated from flushing and mixing equipment and concrete mixer trucks shall be discharged into the designated sedimentation pond; unauthorized discharge of wastewater is strictly prohibited. When personnel leave the site, the equipment must be de-energized and the switchgear locked.
7. The use of iodine-tungsten lamps, electric heating tubes, and other similar devices for indoor heating is prohibited to prevent fires.
